Green, Timothy James “Tim”
Suddenly on October 10, 2021 with his children by his side, Tim was reunited with his wife Penny of 40+ years and welcomed home by his parents Cene and Ruby Green.
Proud and loving father of Ryan (Denise) and Rai-Lyn (Rob). Cherished Grandpa of Zac and Addisyn who Tim watched as they grew and experienced new things, his pride and love for them was boundless. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother John (Jeanette), and sisters Joanne and Penny and by his nieces, nephews and their families. Tim will be missed by an abundance of friends from so many different paths that he took during his life.
Tim lived along the Grand River for over 40 years and as the Grand flows through Dunnville and makes it richer and vibrant so too did Tim with all of the roles and duties he performed throughout his lifetime. He was a hard working mechanic for over 40 years and still managed to support his town as a Volunteer Firefighter, Town Councilor, and Firearms Course Instructor. Tim’s passion for the outdoors was filled with hunting, fishing, trapping and his ability to pass that knowledge and love for the outdoors on to his children and grandchildren and to the countless students who benefitted from his courses..
Whether perch fishing at the pier, chasing pickeral in the upper river, annual Duck/Perch debacles in Long Point or more recently even despite his illness summers fishing on Lake Memesagamesing in Port Loring, Tim would always do well although he would always say, “Fishin’s a bit slow but I got a couple.” And he would remain tight lipped about exactly where and how he caught them! Tim never fixated on what he didn’t have, instead he was a humble, hard working man who was happy with the simple things in life and what he had was enough.
Tim left this world the same way he lived in it, and that was on his own terms! In saying that we send a special thank you to St. Michaels Hospital Stroke Team and ICU for their compassion and support.
As per Tim’s wishes a Celebration of Life will be hosted at the Dunnville Hunters & Anglers Club (237 McLaughlin Rd Dunnville) on Saturday November 6, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Memorial donations to Childrens Wish Foundation ( makeawish.ca ) would be appreciated. Covid-19 Mask and social distance protocols in place. Those wishing to share stories or memories of Tim may do so at memoriesoftimgreen@outlook.com

First of all our condolences to Ryan and Rae-Lyn.
The memories of your Dad and Mom are so vivid, camping at Larrys Hideaway and Elora where Penny was crowned the “Rummy Poohbah”. Corn roasts where we sat up all night, big darn yard sales where we would sell enough stuff to buy a case of beer. I will miss the smile, the stories and Tim asking me if I want a shot.
God Speed to a great guy.

As I grieve the passing of my brother Tim, he will always be remembered fondly, as the little boy who fell asleep in a chair, as he watched gold fish swimming around lazily in their glass bowl.
His dedication and loyalty to his father were evident through ways in which he carried on treasured family beliefs and traditions side by side with his older brother John.
He continues to be well loved by his children, grandchildren and those that knew him. His spirit will never be forgotten by me, and his big sister Joanne.
He is in a better place with Mom and Dad and those family members that passed before him where love and peace passes understanding.
So sorry to hear about Tim. Our deepest sympathy at this difficult time.

We are so sorry to hear about Tim’s passing Condolences to Tim’s family and friends.Tim was a great man ,RIP Tim🌹🌹
When I first met Tim Green I was a new member of Station 2 Byng (Fire Dept). Tim was an Honorary member there for years. It was during a function and I was working bar and talking with Tim. Somehow the conversation turned to women. I can not recall the exact starting but at one point Tim says to me “You should never need a woman. You can desire their company but a real man looks after himself “.
I thought WOW. I felt that was so profound so meaningful. I took the words to heart. I passed the words down to my son. I really found that statement moving.
A year passed and I was lucky enough to be signed up with Mike Culp, Jack Hunter, and Tim Green for our firehall annual golf tournament. With the four of us teamed up, I was looking forward to finding a way to repeat his teachings to him. Let Tim know what he said on that day meant something..that it stayed with me.
During the day ..I don’t know what hole it was I was able to turn the conversation to woman. I phrased it ” You know Tim a man that I have alot of respect for once told me..You should never need a woman. You can desire their company but a real man looks after himself “!
Tim looks at me and says ” Who told you that your father?”
I replied No. No Tim you did. You taught me that”
At that moment Tim turns to Jack and says “Huh…I must have been drinking that day eh Jack”
My whole speacil moment flattened…Thanks Tim lol 😆
For years after we laughed about that moment and I always said “I going to tell that story at your funeral.” Tim would laugh and say” I wish you would” !
God Love You Tim.
Our condolences and heart felt sympathy to the family. Tim will be missed. He was speacil and loved by many.
Sincerely Dave and Tammy Majoros
