Green, Timothy James “Tim”
Suddenly on October 10, 2021 with his children by his side, Tim was reunited with his wife Penny of 40+ years and welcomed home by his parents Cene and Ruby Green.
Proud and loving father of Ryan (Denise) and Rai-Lyn (Rob). Cherished Grandpa of Zac and Addisyn who Tim watched as they grew and experienced new things, his pride and love for them was boundless. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother John (Jeanette), and sisters Joanne and Penny and by his nieces, nephews and their families. Tim will be missed by an abundance of friends from so many different paths that he took during his life.
Tim lived along the Grand River for over 40 years and as the Grand flows through Dunnville and makes it richer and vibrant so too did Tim with all of the roles and duties he performed throughout his lifetime. He was a hard working mechanic for over 40 years and still managed to support his town as a Volunteer Firefighter, Town Councilor, and Firearms Course Instructor. Tim’s passion for the outdoors was filled with hunting, fishing, trapping and his ability to pass that knowledge and love for the outdoors on to his children and grandchildren and to the countless students who benefitted from his courses..
Whether perch fishing at the pier, chasing pickeral in the upper river, annual Duck/Perch debacles in Long Point or more recently even despite his illness summers fishing on Lake Memesagamesing in Port Loring, Tim would always do well although he would always say, “Fishin’s a bit slow but I got a couple.” And he would remain tight lipped about exactly where and how he caught them! Tim never fixated on what he didn’t have, instead he was a humble, hard working man who was happy with the simple things in life and what he had was enough.
Tim left this world the same way he lived in it, and that was on his own terms! In saying that we send a special thank you to St. Michaels Hospital Stroke Team and ICU for their compassion and support.
As per Tim’s wishes a Celebration of Life will be hosted at the Dunnville Hunters & Anglers Club (237 McLaughlin Rd Dunnville) on Saturday November 6, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Memorial donations to Childrens Wish Foundation ( makeawish.ca ) would be appreciated. Covid-19 Mask and social distance protocols in place. So sorry for your loss. He was a great man& will be missed by all who knew him.
Sending our sympathy to the family. Tim was a great guy we enjoyed his visits with us in Sundridge, his treats of fish he caught up in Port Loring. It is nice he is reunited with the love of his life Penny.
Such a sweet guy, he will be missed. Condolences to the family. Deb and Kirk Dewar
First of all our condolences to Ryan and Rae-Lyn.
The memories of your Dad and Mom are so vivid, camping at Larrys Hideaway and Elora where Penny was crowned the “Rummy Poohbah”. Corn roasts where we sat up all night, big darn yard sales where we would sell enough stuff to buy a case of beer. I will miss the smile, the stories and Tim asking me if I want a shot.
God Speed to a great guy.

Tim was a great guy. I have so many fond memories of Tim. Fishing, boating, and few cold brew. He was welcoming always and a funny, kind man. I am so sorry Rai-Lyn and Ryan for your loss. Your dad touched many lives. Big hugs to Zack and Addi.
