It is with sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Shirley Joan Weikman on Monday, June 22 at the age of 91
Beloved wife of Chuck Weikman (2021) for 67 years. Loving mother of Judith Drosky (David) Susan Wills (Ken) Terri Bilinski (Walt) and Paul Weikman (Christine)
Proud Nana of 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren
Survived by her loving sister JoAnn McKeown and many nieces and nephews
Reunited in heaven with her loving husband, Chuck, sister Betty, grandson Justin, and her parents, Cecil and Irene
Shirley was born in Toronto and grew up in Barrie, then moved to Dunnville in her teenage years where she met the love of her life, Chuck. Together, they raised their family in Beamsville and later move back to Dunnville. In retirement, Shirley and Chuck square danced, traveled, and cruised the world. They also spent over 20 years as Canadian snowbirds in Florida making many countless friends along the way.
Shirley poured patience and love into many hands-on hobbies. Crocheting, knitting, upholstery and stained glass, but her true passion was sewing ! Self-taught she made Barbie clothes, curtains, pillows, bedspreads dresses, and coats.
She was also a very passionate quilter

Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 7 at St Michael Archangel Parish 201 Alder St., Dunnville. Internment to follow at Saint Michael’s cemetery on Robinson Rd., Dunnville.

We knew Shirley and Chuck from being neighbours for many years. They enjoyed their retirement years immensely, and I always had a good catch up with Shirley at quilt guild meetings. She was quite an accomplished and sweet lady.

Chuck passed away during the peak of COVID .
We all friends used to gather every Sunday after 10:30am Mass in the rectory while I was in Dunnville.

Always enjoyed visits from Aunt Shirley and Uncle Charlie over the years. Her happy upbeat disposition always brighten my day.
