It is with heavy hearts that we note the passing of Reinder Vander Kooi on Monday May 29, 2023 in his 78th year (1944 to 2023). Peacefully at home with his family at his side. Loving husband of Dianne (Funke) for 50 years. A dear father to Shelly (Norris) and Crystal (Dave) Infant daughter Lisa Marie. His grandchildren Sam and Lilly gave him much joy. Sadly missed by his sister Yettie and her late husband Bob and also by his brother Ron. Reinder was born in Jelsum Netherlands and immigrated to Canada with his parents Wilhelm and Aaltje when he was 4 years old. He loved gardening, fishing and traveling when he could. Cremation and then interment will take place at a later date. Donations To The Kidney Foundation on his behalf would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. It’s been almost 3 years since his passing and yet I still find it hard to say anything about my father .
I am so very sorry for your loss Dianne , I wish we could of met before his passing so we could of had the chance to meet .
But my father had chosen not to and that is something I’ll never know why .
I hope that you and my sisters have all found peace and i wish you all the very best .
