Tibbits: Ronald “Harv” Garth

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Garth Tibbits, lovingly known to most as “Harv” or simply Garth, on August 18th, 2026, at Edgewater Gardens Nursing Home in Dunnville, Ontario.

Born on July 23rd, 1954, in Cobourg, Ontario, Garth lived a life that touched many people in ways that will never be forgotten. He passed peacefully, surrounded by family and by the caring staff of Edgewater Gardens, whom he held in deep regard and who had become an important part of his life.

Garth has now been welcomed home with love and forgiveness by the grandparents he spoke of so often, and by his beloved mother, Mary Harrison. His mother was his best friend for 62 years, and although she passed peacefully in 2016, the love and connection they shared remained with him throughout his life.

Garth leaves behind his three brothers, Gary, Rodney “Snide,” and Walt; his nephew Scott; his daughter Sasha; and his two sons, Liam and Quinlan. He will also be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. We are grateful for every one of them and for the memories they shared with Garth.

Though his journey here has come to an end, the stories, laughter, lessons, and memories he left behind will continue to live on in those who loved him.

To celebrate Harv a visitation will be held at J.W. Hart Funeral Home, 113 Lock St E., Dunnville on Sunday August 23 rd,  from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Monday August 24 th at 1 pm.

Rest peacefully, Harv. You are home now. You will be loved, remembered, and missed always.
