SUTER, Hans R. passed away at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 23, in his 87th year.
Hans was predeceased by his loving wife Maria (nee Trainer), of 60 years. Sadly missed by daughters Ilia Suter and Debbie Silverthorne, son-in-law Bob, and grand daughter Shantal. They all worked tirelessly to keep Hans at his home after Maria passed away. He will also be missed by grandsons Chris ( Jennifer) and Ryan (Lauren), sisters-in-law Marie Trainer and Bali Trainer, and by many nieces and nephews. Hans was an only child born May 15, 1937 in Langenthal, Switzerland to Hans and Elsa ( nee Hilzinger) Suter.
He and Maria lived in Geneva, Switzerland with their 2 daughters before moving to Canada, where they had relatives. Hans had his own metal fabricating business for many years before retiring. He then started his ornamental wrought iron business in Dunnville. He was a very talented artist , and his memory will live on through his beautiful work. The family would like to thank all the people who helped look out for Hans during his lengthy hospital stay and thanks to all our friends and family members for their kind words and support during this entire time. Private family funeral followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery has taken place. Donations to the Dunnville Senior Support Services would be appreciated. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com
