Donald Robert Steinman
December 6, 1929 ~ August 16, 2025
Our father passed away peacefully, after living a wonderful 96 years of life. We all walked with him for as long as we could, then he went on his own. Dad will always be remembered by Irene, his loving wife of 75 years, and his children John Steinman (Denise), Mary Gill (Craig) and Lori Feith (Fred). Loved forever by his adoring grandchildren Meagan Duetta (Colin), David Steinman (Pam), Nick Gill (Melanie), Joe Feith, Josh Feith (Taylor). Great Papa will live on in his great grandchildren Dylan and Emmy Duetta, Sloane Gill, Liam and Rowan Feith. Dad was very proud of his wife and his family, as we all were of him. Predeceased by his sisters Agnes and Mary Steinman and brothers Fred and Herb Steinman.
In the early years Dad worked many jobs in Dunnville, the longest of which was A&P for 35 years. It was always impressive how many people Dad knew and those that knew of him. Don made friends easily and was liked by all. He loved hunting, shooting and woodworking. He was a Master of tinkering with anything broken.
Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will take place at a later date. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com

Irene,John, Mary, Lori and families. The Battle’s and Steinman’s go back a long way, starting with Irene and Don and my parents Walter and June. Then came us kids. You were our neighbours from behind our house, and then just 2 houses down from us on our street. Many, many memories we have, and you have so many more. We had his stories, his laughter and friendship. On behalf of the Battle’s we send our condolences at this sad time for you all. Friends always.
