Helen Smith (Walls). Peacefully, at home on Monday December 18, 2023 in her 74th year.
Helen Smith beloved mother of Julie Ann Barnes, and to Stella Bomberry (Sheldon) and Les Barnes. Proud and loving Grandma To Damon and the late Keshia. Lovingly remembered by her brother Jim (Bonnie) and by her nieces nephews and their families. Predeceased by husband Tom Barnes whom she remained very close over her life.
Helen always spoke her mind and didn’t beat around the bush! You always knew where you stood with her. She loved all animals especially her cats, all six of them were black but she could tell all of them apart. Helen spent many hours crocheting and Crochet-Tatting. Thousands of tiny knots forming into beautiful creations.
Private cremation has taken place. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com

I miss you mom. All your cats are fitting in well with mine! I love you! See you when It’s my time!❤️❤️😭😭
I will miss this feisty lady! She and my late husband were best buds and he trusted her completely! He said she was the best building manager and best tenant in over 20 years she rented from us. Her loyalty was evident as she helped him in the Chip Wagon as they worked the auctions and yearly at the Simcoe Fair. RIP Helen, you have earned your eternal rest!

Julie and family, I am so sorry to hear that your Mom passed. She was a lady who stood by her word and wasn’t afraid to speak up. I really enjoyed having her as a neighbor, we had some awesome conversations over the years. The neighborhood will never be the same. Rest in Peace my dear friend you have earned it.
