Sider, Janice Rosemary. Peacefully, at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital on Sunday January 2, 2022.
Janice Sider beloved wife of the late Doug Sider for over 56 years. Loving mother to Jeff Sider and Jody Davidson (Ken). Proud and loving Grandma of Brandon Sider, Randi Benson (Brandon), Julianna Davidson, Kurtis Davidson, Kassandra Davidson, Josie Davidson, Douglas Davidson and great grandchildren Carter Benson, Addie Benson and Alayna Benson. Lovingly remembered by her sister Bonnie Hart (Russell), brother-in-law Robert Shoalts (Tish), sister-in-laws Muriel Sider (Leonard), Louise McCombs (John) and their families. Predeceased by her parents Clayton and Leeta Goss, sister Sandra Shoalts and sister-in-law Kathy Moore and husband Gerry.
Janice retired from the Royal Bank and for many years was a trusted, kind and familiar face to so many clients seeking financial advice. She was a fixture volunteering at the Marshville Heritage Festival, both her and husband Doug enlisted the help of their children and grandchildren to churn out delicious Apple Butter available to patrons, some of whom came every year just to restock their coveted Apple Butter. For all those who wondered why it tasted so good, the secret ingredient was that they made it with their family whom they loved so dearly. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dunnville Hospital for their kindness and care. Due to Covid19 restrictions a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Dear Jeff, Jody and families,
I send my sincerest condolences for the loss of your mom. She was such a nice lady and always had a smile when I saw her. I can hear Janice laughing at something Jody and I would be doing – usually something goofy!

I met your mom and dad back in 1976 when I first started working at the Royal Bank. Your mom was a mentor and friend.
In those days we didnt just work together we all became like family with many partys, dances, weddings, child births and shared
in lifes up and downs. Janice always with a smile a contagious giggle and modest humble way about her. I admired how she and Doug did everything together. I think can still see them both dancing at the old Port Maintland hall.

Jody and Jeff,
Your mother was a wonderful woman. You two were blessed to have such great parents. We are sad for the loss of Doug and now Janice, but happy for the life they lived and the family they created. As you meet with people over the next few weeks, seek the joy that was present in the lives of your parents and know they want you to be happy.
Best wishes and many blessings.
