SHOALTS, Robert Earl. Passed peacefully in his sleep Wednesday September 6, 2023 in his 88th year.
Bob Shoalts survived by his wife Ruth “Tish”. Loving father to Lorrie (Gene), Rob (Tracy), Tim (Judy) and Chris (Crystal). Proud and loving grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by wife Sandra Shoalts, brother Lester Shoalts; sister Doris Marr (Glenn), sister-in-law Janice Sider (Doug). Survived by sister Mary Jane Robinson (late Arthur), brother Roy Shoalts (Vivian), sister Nancy Payson (Ron), sister in law Bonnie Hart (Russ), sister-in-law Gladys Shoalts.
Known for his various roles in the community, his involvement with minor hockey, coaching or on the Zamboni cleaning the ice.
He always was involved in the community whether it be sports related, the Festival, the Historical Society, or One of the founders of the Marshville Heritage Village and Festival. The festival was his passion, from helping tear down to reconstructing the buildings, or spending his time looking for new additions to the Heritage Village. He strived to be involved in any capacity he could and he managed to attend the Festival 2 days before his passing. You would often see him when his grandchildren were younger driving around the grounds with them on the back of a tractor or golf cart.
Family and friends were important to Dad. Bob always spoke his mind whether you liked it or not. He was a Master carpenter who was very meticulous in his craft whether framing, building furniture or the many Grandfather clocks we were lucky enough to receive. He lived a full life and definitely left his mark in his community. We would like to acknowledge his Marshville “Family” work crew, who meant the world to him.
Friends are welcome to drop in and join the family in Celebrating Bob’s life on Saturday September 16, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the P.I. Hall , Wainfleet. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com

So sorry to hear of Rob’s passing. Our deepest sympathies to the family. We got to know Rob through his association with the Sunday night hockey league team Marr’s Vending. Couldn’t ask for a better manager. That formed a lasting bond. He will be missed. May he Rest In Peace.
Condolences go out to all the Shoalts family, Bob you’re in a better place.
I’m so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I knew Bob since the 1970s I think, (that’s 50 years!) . He coached the Wainfleet mens softball team, I was a member and we did our best to drive him crazy as we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Bob always smiled and never got angry with us. He remained a friend and we visited every time we saw each other. Such a great man. My condolences to the whole family. Wainfleet is so much better due to Bob.
