Mabel “Agnes”  Ann Rees

1939 – 2026

Rees, Mabel “Agnes” Ann – Passed away suddenly on May 16, 2026, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) at 87 years of age.  Born in Dunnville, Ontario, Agnes was the youngest of 10 children.  Loving mother to Darren (predeceased) and John (Sandra) and grandmother to Payton, Julia, Joshua (Gabrielle) and Harrison.  She was a proud Aunt, Great Aunt and Great Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Agnes loved spending time with family and friends.  Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she would spend hours speaking about them to anyone who would listen.  Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Agnes, knew she was someone who cared deeply and was a kind soul.  As someone with a big heart for others, Agnes always had a smile on her face, no matter what she was going through.  Agnes will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A heartfelt thank you to the team at Oakville Senior Citizens Residence (OSCR), the health care professionals, extended family, friends, and neighbours who helped care for and support Agnes in Barrie and Oakville.

Cremation has taken place . Interment will be held on Thursday July 2 at 10:00 am at Riverside cemetery, Wainfleet , followed by a Celebration of Life from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at  the J.W. Hart Funeral Home ,  113 Lock Street East, Dunnville, Ontario.
