Dan was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He liked nothing better than to share funny stories and anecdotes with anyone and everyone. He took great pride in his many athletic achievements over the years, and in the lives and accomplishments of his daughters. His greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren, whose visits he eagerly anticipated. He instilled in them pride of family, and love of nature and the outdoors.
Dan is survived by his wife and best friend, Linda (EnnsPitts), his 2 beautiful daughters, Jennifer (Derek) and Judy (Jeremy), and his very precious grandchildren; his “Angel” Skylar, his Buddy Brayden, and “bonus” grandchildren, Jacob and Katie. He will be forever missed by Lilly, his constant ‘Lapmate’ and faithful companion.
Dan is also survived by his sisters, Judy (Pitts) Guldenpfennig and Linda (Pitts) Wiesmore (late Dan Wiesmore), his brothers, Larry (Margaret), Ted (Sharon) and Brian, and his aunt, Betty Butz. Many nieces and nephews, as well cousins, are also left to mourn Dan’s passing. Dan is predeceased by his parents, Ted and Donna Pitts, and his niece, Tracey (Wiesmore) Karch.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Dan at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Dunnville on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm to share memories with the family and with each other.
