Dan was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He liked nothing better than to share funny stories and anecdotes with anyone and everyone. He took great pride in his many athletic achievements over the years, and in the lives and accomplishments of his daughters. His greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren, whose visits he eagerly anticipated. He instilled in them pride of family, and love of nature and the outdoors.
Dan is survived by his wife and best friend, Linda (EnnsPitts), his 2 beautiful daughters, Jennifer (Derek) and Judy (Jeremy), and his very precious grandchildren; his “Angel” Skylar, his Buddy Brayden, and “bonus” grandchildren, Jacob and Katie. He will be forever missed by Lilly, his constant ‘Lapmate’ and faithful companion.
Dan is also survived by his sisters, Judy (Pitts) Guldenpfennig and Linda (Pitts) Wiesmore (late Dan Wiesmore), his brothers, Larry (Margaret), Ted (Sharon) and Brian, and his aunt, Betty Butz. Many nieces and nephews, as well cousins, are also left to mourn Dan’s passing. Dan is predeceased by his parents, Ted and Donna Pitts, and his niece, Tracey (Wiesmore) Karch.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Dan at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Dunnville on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm to share memories with the family and with each other.

Thinking of you and your family at this time.
Sending my heartfelt sympathy to Dan’s family and friends! May the happy memories of Dan carry you through this very sad and difficult time!
Our deepest sympathies to Linda and the Pitts family. Danny was a very gifted athlete who excelled at all the sports he participated in. I had the privilege of playing hockey and baseball with him and competing against him in track and field. He could always be counted on for scoring the winning goal, getting the needed hit and he could run like the wind. He coached our daughter Natalie in baseball. Our condolences. May he Rest In Peace. Love Brenda and Bernie Corbett and family.
Sending our heartfelt condolences to Linda, Jennifer, Judy and family. Nice times spent with Dan on the ball diamond!

I’m not sure where to begin, Battle’s and The Pitts’s were neighbour kids. Our parents were friends. So many of us in the grocery business, so many good times growing up. So many laughs, many childhood stories. Dan was quite funny, and did many impressions of people I’ll remember. But what I’ll remember the most is his love and friendship for my Mother June. He always came around shared a joke and made her laugh. So fly on your broom and catch up with her and the rest of your family in that big sky. My thoughts are with you Linda and your girls, and of course the rest of the Pitts family.
You will always be in my memories .🧹🧹🧹
Sending deepest condolences to you Linda and to Danny’s family . Cherish all your wonderful memories 💙🙏
So sorry to hear this. My heartfelt condolences to the families.
Pitts family. So sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. Dan was a co worker of mine at A&P for many years on the night shift. He was also a neighbour for years on Brookfield Blvd. Dan had a great sense of humor and always ready to help you if you asked. May you find comfort in all your memories and good times together. He is not gone, but walks beside you everyday.

Our deepest condolences on Dan’s passing.
Always hated playing ball against him, we all knew what he was going to do, but he was still on base before the bat hit the ground. May he continue to run quick and free and rest in peace.
My heartfelt condolences to Linda and the Pitt’s families. Danny was a highly skilled athlete, who could out run a baseball! A true golden glove! Always a gentleman with a kind smile who will be greatly missed.
