Petrovich, Anthony Lawrence “Tony”. June 9, 1959 – Aug 25, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Petrovich on Wednesday August 25th. He was at home in the arms of his beloved wife of 32 years, Leslie Petrovich (nee Culp). He leaves behind his 2 children, Mark and Marie. Also left to grieve are his two parents: Anthony and Emily Petrovich. His Sisters; Christine Stach and her husband Sean, Mother Ann Carmelite of St Joseph, and Sister-in-Law Barb Petrovich. Brothers-in-law; Jamie Culp (Tracy), Bill Culp (Deb), and Norman Stewart. Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces and Great-Nephew. Predeceased by his brother Gregory, Sister-in-Law Susan Stewart (nee Culp), and Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Herb and Donna Culp.
He dedicated 35 years to helping homeless youth through his work at Covenant House Toronto. His work was a reflection of his devout Catholic faith. Family will receive visitors at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grimsby on Tuesday August 31st from 2:00 – 4:00 pm followed by prayers, and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at 11:00 am. ( virtually at http://www.facebook.com/StJoesGrimsby ) Interment Riverside Cemetery, Dunnville. Tony’s journey through pancreatic cancer, while long and difficult, was made easier by family and friends and many healthcare professionals. Special appreciation to palliative care nurse Jennifer, and Dr. Maria Cescon. The family would also like to thank Father Rico and Father Bill for the wonderful spiritual guidance they provided.
