Parker, Margaret Muriel (Nee Ecker). It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret in her 90th year at Grandview Lodge, surrounded by her family.Marg Parker predeceased by her husband Sydney, her two boys Brian and Norm and by daughters-in-law Judy and Nadine. Margaret will be dearly missed by her boys and their families; Syd, Dave, Bill (Linda), Mel (Linda), Tim(Karen) . She will be sadly missed by her 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons. Margaret was an active member of Canboro Grace United Church. She took great pride teaching Sunday school for many years. When she was not working or doting over her family, Margaret would be found in the kitchen cooking, baking, canning and catering to whomever walked through her door. If you have ever had the pleasure of walking through Margaret’s door, you would have felt like part of her family. Her home was your home. You would leave full and loved. Her big pride was her family; her family meant the world to her. No matter what, if we needed her she was there. Margaret would be found yelling in the stands at her Grandchildren’s sporting events or gleaming with pride at their dance recitals or figure skating carnivals. Margaret’s zest for life gleamed through her family. For the past 9 years she lived at Grandview Lodge where she was head of Resident Council. If you didn’t find her in her room knitting or crafting, you would find her out in the gardens or taunting the nurses at 3:00 am. Margaret touched the lives of many, and left a mark with whoever she met. Thank you to the staff at Grandview Lodge for your loving support, especially in her final days. Donations in lieu of flowers to Grandview Lodge Residents Council or Parkinson Canada (donate.parkinson.ca) would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place. Sending our condolences to the Parker family. I know what a huge influence she was in your life Mr. Parker, and to Tammy Tomesetti, I know she was so very special to you. I remember hearing the stories and seeing all the pics of you with your grandma. The canning and the baking of pie crust with 7up. (I still don’t know how that works). Sending you much love as you mourn her death, and May you be comforted by the fact that she was an active believer in Jesus Christ and you will see her in paradise one day. Went to School with all the boys. Marg was Family I believe but I just can`t recall how.
