Moore, Linda Marie. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our mom, at home, with loved ones by her side on Friday October 7th, 2022, in her 69th year.
Born in Binbrook, Linda lived and raised her family in southern Ontario, settling in Fort Erie in her retirement. Linda was a simple woman who often referred to herself as a “country bumpkin”. Linda loved nature and camping. She was affectionately known by her C.B. handle “Mother Nature” by her many C.B. and H.A.M. radio friends. Linda held a special place in her heart for the many disabled and troubled children and youth she worked with throughout her life. Especially, young Mathew who she adored as one of her own.
Later in life, Linda was heavily involved in the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre where she embraced living in peace and love through traditional Indigenous teachings. Linda was proud of her children and loved to brag about their individual accomplishments. Satenia, the scholar and Ph.D. Candidate; Jimmy an amazing hardworking father who never let life hold him back; and Vanessa, her baby girl, who can drive an 18-wheeler better than most men.
Loved mother of Tina/Satenia, Jimmy/James, Scooter/Vanessa (Short/Graham), and informally adopted sons Al Fonz (Lisa) Mitchell and Mathew Benoit. Cherished Gama of Ashlynn, Anastasia, Danielle (Ryan), Domenico, Dylan (Rachelle), Darren (Holly), and Deanna (Cam). Beloved great-Gama of Emma, Amy, Leila, Jaxon, Paisley, Landon, Olivia, Sophia, Daisy, and Hazel. Sister of Sherry (Alex: Bob), Nancy (Russ: Geoff), Penny (Paul), and Jo (Bernard). Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pre-deceased by her father Douglas, mother Delia, ex-husband Heinz, long-time partner Dale, nephew Gary, and brother-in-law Russ.
As requested by Linda, there will not be a funeral and cremation has already taken place. A BBQ and campout in Linda’s honour will be held in July 2023. Details will be provided closer to the date. Our hearts go out to each and everyone of you. Linda gave with all her heart. I enjoyed our little talks when we got the chance to do so. Lol Al said he was always a pain in her ass, but he loved her for adding him into the family. For that he will be forever grateful. Our hearts are broken. RIP Linda. Fly high with the angels💔💔❤❤

My deepest sympathy for Linda’s family. Linda was here for whoever needed help and she came and stayed weeks with me after my husband (Alan) died and we always got together alot and she treated me like family and the rest of the family gives 100% also. Linda RIP and I sure will miss you xoxo

I knew Linda through her Granddaughter, Anastasia. I liked Linda instantly! I didn’t get very close with Linda but we always shared posts and such on Facebook. I will miss seeing her posts and comments. Linda RIP and rest easy Girl. You are missed. XOXO
