Lee, Bernard Peter Lee. (June 1967 ~ July 2020 ) At Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, British Columbia.
Lovingly remembered by his mother Katherine Hempel (Phil) and father Wayne Lee (Angie). Bernie had one son Tyson, and will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Christopher (Edel), William and by his Mom and Dad’s extended families. Sadly missed by his aunts, uncles cousins and their families. Bernie will be missed by his furry companions Heidi, Cletus and Buddy. Fondly remembered by his friends Mike, Chad, Rita & Niels, Christine, Angela and many more. Bernie was a huge KISS Fan!

Bernie Lee was a bit of a legend around these parts. He will be missed for his sharp tongue, quick wit, and humour. I really enjoyed listening to him sing and perform years ago at the Commercial Hotel. Bernie was onstage during the “Golden years of live music” in Nanaimo. He had a huge heart, and was often generous to a fault. There is no rant like a Bernie rant. I am sure he is telling stories, singing songs and debating all comers with intelligence. I am truly sorry for the loss of Bernie Lee.
I have known Bernie for quite a few years and was very sad to here of his passing, I know Buddy will miss him as Bernie loved him so much .

Bernie was a sweet thoughtful soul
Right before Bernie died he came and saw me in the hospital
I just had cancer surgery I was very weak
He talked a friend ( Dave Pittet) into driving him from his his town to ours he spent his last 10$ to buy me a cozy blanket and a card. He came to see me because he was worried I wasn’t doing well … I knew Bernie was sick on drugs and even though he was dealing with his own horrible problems he made a huge effort to let me know he cared.
I knew him for a long time he wasn’t really in my life anymore but he had a very thoughtful kind and gentle side
He’d give his shirt off his back and obviously his last 10$ to help someone or even a helpless animal.

A Jehovah’s Witness and I feel I will see Bernie again when this chaotic world is fixed and there is a great resurrection according to Revelation 21:3,4 and John 5:28,29
Gone will be death pain suffering and drugs but humans will build a clean world … ( see jw.org if you want to know more)
Bernie was a kind person just know he is missed by me
