Dezi Anthony Krajcir
May 7, 1958 – January 29, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dezi Anthony Krajcir on January 29th, 2024 at the Royal Victorian Hospital in Barrie Ontario. Dezi is survived by his wife Carol of 40 years, mother Beatrice, daughter Michelle (Mark) and sons, Dezi Jr (Amanda) and Brett. Loving Grandpa to Jordan, Massin, Solomon, Sophia, Amelia and Dezi James. Also survived by his older brothers, Edward (Scarlett), Alan (Dianne) and many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his father, Dezider Krajcir (Jan 22 1997)
Dezi will be remembered for his strong desire to put full effort in everything he did, an important trait he proudly instilled in his children and grandchildren. This was evident in all that he accomplished during his life, from loving and providing for his family to the many successful business endeavors, several patents and his passion for sports.
Dezi spent 45 years as the President of Tatra Safety Boot and Shoes, and following his retirement, he opened and operated Jet -Ski Floating Docks. Dezi had a love for sports, in particular hockey and fishing. He loved to coach and share his knowledge and expertise.
Dezi was a unique man as he wanted and encouraged the same successes for others that he knew and was always able to see the best in people. We are grateful he was able to share his passions and knowledge with his children and grandchildren. Dezi’s legacy will live on in Madawaska, where he spent many years enjoying his family and the great outdoors.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday March 24th 2024 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Dunnville Lifespan Centre (Arena) 275 Ramsey Drive, Dunnville.
The family would like to send a very special thank you for all the love and support provided from Edward and Scarlet Krajcir during this very difficult time.

My deepest condolences to the Krajcir family,
I first met Dezi a number of years back when he was operating Tatra Safety Boots and Shoes, when he hired me to work for him. A number of people have spoken about Dezi’s passion, he definitely was passionate when it came to work and his beliefs. He was like a freight train coming down the tracks, you better get out of this way.
Over the years we had a few conversations that ended with why don’t we agree to disagree. Lol. I remember the first week working for him, I asked his wife Carol, has he aways got this much energy? her reply, “pretty much”. I remember hanging the phone up and saying to myself, I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to work with this guy.
Dezi sure wasn’t shy about voicing his opinion, or telling me how to do my job, by the way he knew little about, but that didn’t stop him. Lol…As time went by, we developed a bond and an understanding, he was right and I was wrong. Lol…Seriously, Dezi was a kind hearted man who loved his family and his dogs very much. He made an impact in my life that will never be forgotten. We had a lot of good laughs my friend. Thank you for that buddy, I’m going to miss you, and those debated conversations we’d have. I do know one thing for sure, wherever you are, you are still having them. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Carol and family, I just spoke to my mom and was so shocked to hear of Dezi’s passing. It has been much too long since I have seen you all and I regret that I am across the country and can not personally attend his upcoming memorial. I have such fond memories of spending time with all of you as a child, and always remember Dezi being a great “big uncle” to me and my sister. I am sincerely sorry for your loss and extended our whole family’s condolences.

As childhood neighbours of Dezi from Vinemount, my family and I are saddened to learn of his far-too-soon passing. He was always a highly spirited young man, whom we have since learned, went on to have many business ventures, great adventures and a loving family. Carol and Family, please accept our condolences for your loss. We got to know Dezi only these past few years as he started working with our team at Jetfloat as one of our dealers. I personally enjoyed his visits when picking up product as I was able to spend time storytelling about ventures and experiences that we both have had years prior. I will miss that.
