Klein, Abraham, age 73, unexpectedly passed away October 27, 2025 in Dunnville, Ontario.
He was born September 4, 1952 in Den Haag, the Netherlands. He served in the Dutch Navy for a total of 6 years, onboard the Noord-Brabant and the Holland, with his service ending in 1974. He immigrated to Canada in 1976, met Beverly in 1978 and married in 1979.
He “retired” in 2014 but in typical dad fashion, he was not content to sit still and he worked off-and-on until his passing. He loved to garden, putter around his property, build things, and travel. Dad was always doing something for others; he often was driving to visit friends and family, he volunteered with the handicapped and the Niagara Christian Gleaners.
He was preceded in death by his parents, fellow service members, and many adored pets. He is survived by his siblings, his step-mother, Ans, his wife, Beverly, his two children, Abraham (Carolyn) and Allison (Kevin) and his best four-legged friend, Hector.
Abraham was a deeply beloved father. His passing was sudden and unexpected, but quick, just like he always hoped it would be. While we have lost our beloved “Fasha”, many have lost a dear friend. He was kind, opinionated, and always willing to lend a hand.
We invite you all to share pictures or memories. It was his wish that we laugh, reminisce, and share a coffee together during this time. A celebration of life will be held at Wesley United Church, 651 Regional Rd. 8 (formerly Hwy 8) at Fruitland Rd., Stoney Creek, On. L8E 5J7, on November 21, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm

We was so sorry to hear of Abraham’s passing. We saw Abe and Hector daily at Esso for his coffee and treat for Hector. We shall miss him. He was such a lovely man and so interesting to talk to. He will be missed. ♥️.

I was shocked to hear that my big brother Abraham (Bram) suddenly passed away, thank you Beverly for informing me and my own family.

Words cannot capture the sadness surrounding Abraham’s departure. Abe was a gentleman with a generous heart and uncompromised love for his family, the choir and his pets. He was a true friend. He helped my father out many times on our home repairs and I still remember their resounding laughter while working together. Abe lived his life out courageously and always retained that great sense of humour. My condolences to Beverly, Abraham, Allison, Carolyn and Kevin, and extended family. I know this loss is heavy on your hearts. May you be at peace that it was an honour to have known him. The heavenly realms are blessed indeed.

I knew Abraham for 30 years. He always had great stories to tell about his hobbies, travel, martial arts, and politics among other topics.
He always had a joke to tell me. His laugh was as big as he was tall. As he said, he was a “ceiling’s worst enemy.”
He will be missed … AJ

Abraham was a good friend, I will miss his entrance and blue aviator sunglasses. We will also miss him at the chiropractors office.
He knew how to tell the best stories. My prayers go out to his children and family.
I am saddened to learn of Abraham’s passing. My husband John B. McMillan sang with him in the Orpheus Choir and we knew him and his parents Bram and Ana from James Street Baptist Church. I am sad that I will not be able to come to his service tomorrow and wish I could bring my condolences in person. John B. just died on 2 October 2025. A special hello to Ana. All the best.
Abraham’s presence was felt and enjoyed by all every Wednesday morning when he was volunteering alongside others at the Gleaners. He will be missed by us. He knew the importance of being a witness with fellow Christians to God’s goodness, and being able to share from our abundance to those in need.

I only spoke with Abraham a handful of times, at Grace Church and also at the Gleaners, however it came out clearly to me from these few interactions his sincere love for family and the Lord. He was a living example of walking in Christian service and love. I am thankful for his positive attitude and desire to diminish stereotypes and presuppositions. I remember fondly the time Abraham went outside his comfort zone and sang a solo at the Church music variety evening. His gift and love of music was appreciated by the whole choir. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family, and pray that you all may know the comfort Abraham enjoyed in belonging to his Saviour.

We enjoyed so many great times with Bev and Abe both in Ontario and Nova Scotia. Also, many wonderful memories of his visits to Belmont.
