
George William Jackson
June 13, 1937 ~ February 9, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George William Jackson, affectionately known as Dad and Papa. George passed away peacefully surrounded by Family at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital.
George leaves behind his wife Martha (Willms) of 65 years. 5 daughters, Linda Larouche (Jim), Judith Silverthorne(David), Cheryl Bullen(Brian), Tracey Stayzer-Minor (Dale) and Tina Jackson Beemer (Doug). “Papa” will be missed by his 12 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and sister Bonnie. Predeceased by his parents, Sophia Jackson (Nie) of Selkirk, Albert Jackson of Leeds England. His Mother- in-Law Margaret Willms, son in law Rick Stayzer, granddaughter Kiely-Ann, son-in-law Dave Silverthorne, brothers Don, Ron and Robert and sisters Betty, Marilyn and Agnes.

Dear Martha and family, we are very sorry to hear of George’s passing. Our deepest sympathies. George was one who was not afraid to voice his opinion. You certainly knew where you stood with him. I remember his involvement with our championship Victoria Hotel hockey team. I also remember and am thankful for his support over the years. He will be missed. May he Rest In Peace.
