Death
GRASLEY, Carole Anne (nee Willson) April 24, 1940 ~ June 5, 2023)
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Carole Anne Grasley in her 83rd year, at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital in Dunnville.
Carole was born to parents Wilfred and Edna Willson. Predeceased just 8 months ago by her loving husband of over 60 years, Milton Grasley. Cherished mother of Jeff (Marie) Grasley and Lisa (Paul) Rizzo. Loved Gramma to Nick (Victoria), Ryan, Amy Grasley; and Nick (Lauren), Dan (Christine), Dylan (Nikki) Rizzo. Great Gramma to 7 adored great grandchildren. Carole will be missed by her treasured brothers Bob (Lizette), Ken (late Grace) and Don (Georgia) Willson. Predeceased by her sister Shirley Grasley (Orv/Pat) and brother Jim Willson. Carole will also be missed by many in-laws, nieces and nephews both Grasley and Willson.
Carole will be fondly remembered for her motherly ways, always wanting to take care of those around her. She was often seen with knitting needles and yarn in her loving hands. She had a love for baking and sharing it over tea. She always looked forward to special time with her one and only grand daughter Amy.
Carole will especially be remembered for her strength, sharp mind, strong-will and resilience; and for tackling any ailment that came her way without complaint. Sincere thanks to Carole’s special friends, Betty & Dave, Gwen & Ivan, Lallee, Evelyn, and neighbour Matt, among many others, who were always there to lend a helping hand if needed. Thank you to the PSW’s that assisted along the way; to Pharmasave in Dunnville for always going above and beyond; and to the exceptional teams at Hamilton General Hospital, CCU & 4 West. Thanks to Haldimand EMS, and HWM Hospital in Dunnville (ER & Inpatient Unit) for their extraordinary support; and to the amazing nurses and staff that treated Carole like family and always made her feel safe and comfortable. Heartfelt thanks to Christine, Catherine, Jay, Drake, Amjad, Jess and countless others. Lastly, utmost respect to Dr. H. Xu of Dunnville and Dr. G. Hu for exemplary care and never giving up. Their dedication and compassion will be remembered with sincere gratitude from the family.
Cremation has been entrusted to J.W. Hart Funeral Home Inc., Dunnville. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider a Memorial Donation to the Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation ( dhhf.ca ) to celebrate the life of our loved one. Respecting Carole’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held at a later date. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com

Jeff, Lisa and families we are deeply saddened by the loss of your dear Mother. Aunt Carole was such a beautiful woman and she will be dearly missed. While her flame may be extinguished her memory will remain in your hearts always.
Love Nadine, Frank and Nancy xoxo
We had the privilege of getting to know Carole about 12 years ago at Jeff and Marie’s place at Christmas. We loved her immediately and she was so easy to chat with. There were many other occasions at Christmases, Easter and Thanksgiving celebrations over the years when we were together with the family. I know her great grandkids loved her and she loved them. Praying for comfort for family and feeling grateful we got to know her.
Our deepest sympathy to the family.
Don and Georgia often spoke so highly and fondly of Carole. We are sure she will be missed.
What a lovely lady she was! Our condolences to the family. Hope the many memories keep her alive in your hearts.
