We were privileged to know this lovely lady for over 12 years as we went to The Cayuga Seniors Centre’s Wednesday bingo and Jean sat at our table. For the past three years Lynn took over the running and calling the bingo games and because Jean’s favourite number was 13, she would say “Just for Jean it’s B13” and she would give her a thumbs up and Lynn would do the same back. We were also lucky to celebrate both her 100 and 101 birthdays. Rest in peace Jean 🙏
Jean was a good friend with my mother Mary Caughell, Sympathies to the family.
Some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts—Jean, you are one of those people for me. Thank you for giving me my first job working for you at Community Telephone. Your impact will always stay with me.

To all of Jean’s family and friends we send our sincere condolences. Jean was one of the most put together, lovely person we have ever met. She used to do open house Christmas and show her exquisite decorating skills and I had a personal tour. She will be missed.
I first met Jean at Canada Day in the Park when she was 99. You would have never known she was as old as she told us. Her huge heart, smile and spunk were truly amazing. My heart breaks for all of her family and friends. Thinking of all of you at this time.
Gone but never forgotten.
To the family of Jean, my condolences for your loss. Jean was one of my bosses at Community Telephone, and I am sure that all those employees will be missing her also.
RIP Jean
Beautiful tribute and a life well lived. Many memories of Jean and her smile . She raised two beautiful daughters who held a special place in our hearts. I was always welcome at the Goodfellow home in my younger years and enjoyed hot days swimming in their pool. A chapter closes but the family legacy lives on with her beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thinking of Eleanor and all the family at this time 💕
Jean especially loved to give and receive hugs and I was honoured to be a recipient whenever I was in her presence at Knox Presbyterian. Her dedication to attending services every week and her active participation set an example we would all do well to follow . God’s garden now has another beautiful rose.
I met Jean at my first office job at Community Telephone. I have vivid memories of her all dressed up with a big fancy hat and dress for the Community Telephone float in the Mudcat parade. I am quite sure that she was the one who designed the beautiful float we had. Her smile and laugh are unforgettable. Amazing lady who has inspired so very many people!
My condolences to Jean’s family, especially Eleanor who I had the pleasure to meet. Jean was an exceptional lady who had the resiliency to overcome the most difficult obstacles and never complained. I will miss waving to Jean as she sat at the window of her home as well as our occasional visits.
A life well lived !
RIP Mrs Goodfellow

Jean was such a dear lady. She always greeted me at the door with a kind word as I delivered meals-on-wheels. She made people feel good about themselves. Jean was one of a kind. She will be missed by our community… Senior Support Services.

When I did music at Knox, Jean came to Junior choir practice and provided treats for the children. Such kindness for them. She was a gifted lady. Our sympathy to her family and friends.
