Katherine “Kay” Theresa Rowe-Frank
Kay passed away peacefully at the age of 92, in the Port Colborne Hospital Saturday May 17th under the great care of Dr. Kim Scher and nursing staff.
Predeceased by her husband Ernest John Frank. Cherished mother of the late Judith Rowe, Bonnie Switzer (Dave), Barb Williams (Paul), Chris Rowe (Eileen), Penny Egger (Ray). Lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren Eric, Cameron, Katie, Leah, Tyler, Andrew, Taylor, Luke, Jake, Paige, Kelly, Johnny and 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her infant daughter Patricia Lynn, grandson Judson and granddaughter Missy. Kay “Katie” is survived by her brother Sylvester Ilg (Judy) , sister-in-law Annette Ilg, extended family Lori and Brad Frank, and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 11 siblings.
Kay was known for her loving devotion to her children and family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting, crocheting, card playing and bingo. She was known to sing a tune or two and when asked Kay demonstrated her amazing yodelling skills! She was always a great listener and was always there for her family and friends!
In keeping with Kay’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com
Deeply saddened to hear Aunt Kay is gone … She’s at peace now I’m sure. My sincere and heartfelt sympathies to the entire family. Many thoughts and prayers. I always enjoyed meeting her at the Donut Diner with her friends years ago. I remember her warm smile- she always called me “ Davy”. May God comfort everyone during this time of loss.

It was with deep sadness that l heard about your Moms passing . I remember Kay’s
laughter and the sparkle in her eyes most of all and what a great friend she was to my Mom( Stella). Your Mom was the best! As a kid l always seem to remember being dragged along by my folks to your house for a pool party or sleep over if they were away, your Mom always the consummate hostess. The deep and rich friendship she shared with my Mom over the years was a real blessing to them both. The trips they took, always popping over for coffee, so many stories , what great fun they had. May your many beautiful memories help ease some of the pain of her passing.
