FERRIS, Paul Alexander (October 7th, 1942 – January 20th, 2021).
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Paul Ferris, unexpectedly, at home, in his 79th year. Much loved father of David (Sheryl). He will be greatly missed by his only grand daughter, Jaime Ferris, sister Ann (Ed) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Margaret (Wright), son Scott, brother Jim and his parents, Lester Ferris and Jean (Thomson) Ferris.
Though born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Paul spent much time in Port Maitland and the Dunnville area even in his youth, and spent most of his adult years living in this area. In recent years while keeping actively retired, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. Paul enjoyed spending time at his trailer in Port Maitland, visiting friends, and fishing on Lake Erie.
Due to the COVID-19 Protocols, we are unable to hold a public visitation or service. Friends are invited to send condolences at https://jwhartfuneralhome.com/ .

So sorry to hear of your loss. I didn’t know Paul well, personally, but I remember he, and the Ferris family, all of those Port Maitland summers when I cottaged nearby as a kid. I remember him as someone who loved the life there and we knew it was finally summer when Paul had his boat resting in his boat rack on the beach! When I think of those long ago summers Paul, and the Ferris family, are still part of those fond memories. My thoughts are with you. Kirk Dewar

It is with a very heavy heart that I must say farewell to Paul. He was such a kind and giving man. I have many fond memories of our years at Larrys Hideway camping and of him taking me fishing. I cannot say enough about how I feel about Paul and how much he will be missed. Paul loved Port Maitland and spent much of his time at his trailer always giving a helping hand to local residents. He was the kindest person you could ever want to meet and I’m so glad to have had him as my friend.
