Gordon Neil Fair November 17, 1951 ~ January 21, 2025
Passed peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital Tuesday January 21, 2025 due to injuries sustained on the family farm. Survived by his wife Marilyn (nee Bolton) of 53 years, two sons Lee (wife Tracey) and Kristi (Jackie). Proud grandpa of Jesse, Wyatt, Rachel, Brock and Bryar. Predeceased by his parents Floyd and Bernice Fair. Survived by his brothers Floyd Jr., David (Linda) and Brian and their families.
Gord was a Trainer and Supervisor in the Dock & Yard at Dofasco and retired after 35 years of service. Retirement allowed him to spend more time on the family farm where he loved to operate any type of machinery, which also gave him ample opportunity to scout for turkeys and deer which he thoroughly enjoyed hunting. More than anything else Gord deeply loved his family.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday July 27th form 1:00 to 4:00 pm in The Coach House on the grounds of Ruthven Park, 243 Highway 54 Cayuga Ontario. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com

Marilyn, Lee and Kristi. So sorry for your loss. I have great memories of Gord from teen years – hunting, camping, snowmobiling, hockey, boating and water skiing. Gord was one tough guy. He would try and and succeed at doing anything.

I was in the Fair family for 40 years & have special memories of good & bad.
Gord was the most loving, caring & most forgiving man I knew. He was also the God Father to our daughters, that he supported always but in the last year was their rock.
I will treasure all the memories in my heart forever & always.

We are so sorry to hear about Uncle Gord’s accident and subsequent passing. I can’t even imagine what a shock and heartbreak this must be for all of you and pray for strength during this very sad time. Please know that Uncle Gord will always have a very special place in not only my heart (he was my always my favourite uncle) but also Michael and the girls as well.

So sorry to the Fair family to hear of Gord’s passing, as Charlie we spent alot of time together growing up, some called us the 3 musketeers ,many great memories, I think of those days I spent with Gordy&Charlie the two best friends i guy could ever have.
Just found out about Gord’s passing. So very sorry for the family. I knew Gord through going to Tim Hortons with my Mom time to time years ago. Gord was one of the regulars. He was so kind and great to talk to. Always a smile on his face. We shared a lot of laughs. May he rest in peace.
