Stephanie Michelle Dagg
August 19. 1974 – October 21, 2024
Stephanie passed away in her home that she loved on Monday October 21st with family. She will be missed and remembered by her parents Don and Glenys (nee Saward), sister Gillian and her partner Brian, grandparents Mary and George Pavlikos, and her best friend Mark Lewis. She will be missed and remembered forever by her husband Jeff Lewis. By his family, so many friends, work mates, and by fans of bird photography everywhere.
Stephanie was genuine with everyone she met, and made more people happy than she would have ever known. She left us with so many great and funny memories. It’s hard when such a bright light goes out but we will find a way.
A celebration of her life will take place at Macassa Bay YC (80 Harbour Front, Hamilton) on November 2nd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. A toast in honour of Her Memory will happen at 20 Augusta St, Hamilton on November 2nd from 7:00 to 9:00pm on the main floor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Ladybird Animal Sanctuary in her name would be appreciated. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com

Little did I know that when we had new neighbours, that we would become such great friends.Steph was so thoughtful, witty, funny, one in a million. Her love of photography inspired many. She loved her birds, animals, insects, everything! We spent manytimes together, good and bad.She was a fighter, a trooper!Forever in my heart❤️RIP Steph, our beautiful girl, gone too soon.
Such a remarkable person who left a lasting impact on so many hearts. It feels incredibly unfair, but Steph will be remembered with warmth and love. My deepest condolences 💚
When you met Steph you were instant friends. Her love of life drew you in and you wanted to know her. I did not see her much the last few years but spent some time with her when her and Jeff lived on Dundurn in Hamilton. She was outgoing and very passionate about her likes. The evil that is Cancer extinguished her bright flame and we will all miss her incredible spirit and friendship.
Steph and Jeff were our neighbours when they lived on Dundurn st we would talk over the fence or when they were on their back deck. we had a pot luck after taking on one of the crazy trees in their yard giving it a hard haircut it was a spur of the moment to get some food and drinks together and then meet up in their yard. Loved having them as our neighbours and missed them when they finally found their house on the water. We rode out to see it just after they moved in. I always loved the photos she took of the many birds and scenery, she had a great eye for photos. You have been taken way too soon but will leave many great memories to so many. Love and Hugs from Tony and I
To Don and his family,
The ladies from Dundurn are so sorry and we send you all our deepest condolences. Don, over the years you have shared family stories with us and through them we know what a beautiful family you have and what a special lady your daughter was. We are so sorry.
With love,
Christine, Anna, Jovita and Maire
I am heartbroken. Sending deepest condolences to family and friends. Steph was taken from us too soon. We met over 20 years ago in the music scene- she supported me and cheered on my artistic endeavors. As a youngster this meant the absolute world to me! We kept in touch as friends throughout the years and were even co workers at some point. Steph taught me a lot about work, art and life. She’s one of the brightest stars and shes out there somewhere on the other side shining on. Steph will be deeply missed by many.
In our work place you always had a smile and I always appreciate it . When I got to really know you I was touched by your kindness but again your smiles is what this earth will miss . Thanks for smiling at me .Nona
Our most heartfelt condolences to our dear friend and brother, Jeff, and all of Stef’s family and friends.
Thank you Stef for welcoming us as instant friends and for sharing precious moments on the lake. Thank you for sharing your love of Corrie, birds, photography, and the outdoors.
Your light shall remain shining in the stars.

I worked with Steph. I will always remember that she had a magical light about her. Steph was always pleasant to be around with a beautiful smile. Lots of talks with her about music, gardening and life. It’s sad to see her head back home so early, but will catch up with her soon. Thank you 🙏 for all the light and love you shared with us.
Dear Jeff and family,

I met Steph when Jeff brought her over for dinner. We were living in Toronto and I remembered thinking how perfect they were for each other. I always felt instantly at ease when Steph was around. She was so easy to get along with – unpretentious, kind, generous, funny and witty. I’m grateful for the many memories I have Steph xoxo. It was truly a privilege being your friend that I will cherish always. Sending love to your family and friends

Heartbreaking! I am sending deepest condolences to family and friends. I know this must leave a hole that will never be filled. Steph was fun and funny and a great human. To me steph was my band mate, a creative pal and buddy from another time. We made so many memories back in those days and I remeber them foundly as I reflect on our time togehter. I was so happy that she found further creative joy and expression though her incredable nature photography and had wonderful people who surrounded her to the end. She deserved goodness, joy and all the love and she had found it all in this lifetime, such a gift. Sending love to all who had the joy of knowing steph.
This sadness has such weight. I took to Steph immediately. The way she got excited when she spoke, words tumbling out and then a brief, shy pause. Kindness and sarcasm in good measure. Her delight in birds and nature and family and friends. Her beautiful photography. Jeff and her making each other so very happy. She was far too young to go. My deepest sympathy, Jeff. And to her family and all her many friends. We were lucky to know her.
I’m so very saddened to learn of Steph’s passing. I first met Steph when we were in Grade 6 at Ryerson, and we became friends a few years later at Westdale high school. I have so many fond memories of Steph over the years, and I will always remember her as hilarious, fun, introspective, creative, caring, and fearless. My deepest condolences go out to her family and close friends. What a truly tragic loss.
I am so grateful that you entered into my life Steph. Thank you for demonstrating dignity and grace as you walk this battle you were handed.
I admired your eye for photography and cannot begin to thank you enough for your artistic eye in capturing amazing moments at our wedding.
You will be missed on this earth plane, however we remain connected on the spiritual plane.
Jeff
