Cosby, Elgin Kenneth

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Elgin Cosby in his 89th year.
He is reunited in heaven with his wife of almost 60 years, Joyce Cosby. Elgin was employed for 28 years at TRW/Thompson Products in St. Catharines. Elgin was a man of few words, but he enjoyed antique cars, farm machinery and working with his hands. In his younger years, Elgin enjoyed exploring in the outdoors; camping, fishing, boating, snowmobiling and dirt biking. He and Joyce travelled extensively throughout Canada and the United States but his favourite place to return to was the farm in Wellandport where he lived quietly until his death.
Left to mourn his passing are his sons, Rick (Karen) and Greg; his granddaughters Christine (Rob), Rebecca ( Seb), and Jessica and his great-grandchildren James and Madeline. He will be missed by his brother Bruce and sisters Bonnie and Shirley, their spouses and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Private cremation has taken place, Interment of both Elgin and Joyce’s ashes will occur on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Zion Cemetery in Wainfleet, Ontario. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com
