Cooney, Edythe
In Sadness and with joyful hearts we announce that Edythe has left us to join her Lord and Saviour in Heaven July 27, 2020. She passed peacefully at home holding her daughters hand. Despite her condition she remained in good spirits till the end and was joyful to be surrounded by her family during her final days on earth.
Predeceased by her husband Everett and son Mark. Beloved mother of Philip, Karen (Andre), and Sandra (Paul). Loving grandmother of Joel (Tasha), Renee, James, Jordan, Bryan (Angela) Kimberly and Alexander. Proud great grand mother of Jaxon, Derek, Beau, Colton, Casey, Zachariah and one more on the way.
Edythe was a devout Christian and her faith in the Lord was nearly unprecedented. She was particularly active in serving her Church and her community. Her missionary work in Mexico help save children from a life of abuse on the streets. Her faith allowed her to do the next right thing without fear of retribution. She was a good example to all of us.
Edythe also had a passion for craftwork and we treasure her many hand made gifts, every one made with love and careful consideration of the receiver.
We would like to give a special thanks to the many friends and family who helped facilitate and make possible for Edythe to be allowed to spend her final days at home surrounded by her loved ones. In keeping with Covid-19 restrictions a private family funeral service will take place. Interment St. Johns Dixie Cemetery. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com

We will miss Edythe so much … her smile, joyful laughter but most of all her example as a faithful warrior in prayer and walking out the peace of knowing her God would answer in His sovereign grace. Her memory will always be an inspiration to us. Our love and prayers continue with you all for His peace and presence in the coming days.

I would like to express my condolences to the family of Edythe. She was a lovely woman – we used to chit chat at Rexdale Alliance Church and I lost touch with her when I started a job that didn’t make church going easy. We kept up a bit on FB. I did think of her but life just kept getting in the way. She’s in a super amazing place right now – with her Saviour and Lord, her husband and other family members and friends who have gone on to Glory.
Karen & Family. So sorry to hear about your mom. She was a wonderful woman with tremendous faith in our Lord & Saviour. I pray that the peace of God will be with you during this difficult time. I love these pictures shown here, and I recognize the ones from Logos. Love, Ellen.
