It is with great sadness that the family of Janet Lillian Cole announce her sudden passing on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the age of 71.
Janet was born in Halifax Nova Scotia, and moved to Caledonia Ontario when she was 20. It was there she met her soul mate Gary Cole. Gary and Janet were married for 47 beautiful years. She was the loving mother of Trevor, Ashley (Matt), and the adored grandmother of Adalynn. Daughter of Audrey and the late Donald Conrod. Sister of Christine (Barry), Lorry (Paula), Darrell (Donna), Kim (Peter), Donald and the late Billy.
Daughter in law of the late Ross and Alice Cole. Sister in law of Sharon (Bob), Ross, Mary (Hubert), and Wayne (Nina).
She was the heart and soul of our family, and a constant source of love. She dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother and wife. Her kindness, generosity and gentle nature touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her memory will live on in our hearts. Gary, Trevor, Ashley (Matt) & Addie Stella & I want to offer our most heartfelt condolences. It’s funny how life happens. I knew you two from Caledonia also way back in the day when Janet was a waitress at the bar. Then all kids of years passed and we end up back in one another’s lives through Stella and her dad Tom.
