CARRUTHERS: Clifford John Emery
April 14, 1949 – May 29, 2026
Cliff passed away peacefully at the HWMH in Dunnville on May 29th in his 78th year. Pre-deceased by his parents John Carruthers (1988) and Muriel(Shank) Carruthers (2001). Beloved father of Patricia(Carruthers) Prest (Shawn) and Scott Carruthers (Amber).
Grandfather of Quinn, Connor & Brooke Prest AND James, John and Sarah Carruthers. Great Grandfather of 3 Great Grandsons and 3 Great Granddaughters. A heartfelt Thank-you to the Dunnville paramedics whom took Cliff to the HWMH ER, the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and PSW’s at St Joseph’s Hospital, Dr. Ayoob and all the wonderful Nurses and PSW’s at the HWMH for caring and showing compassion during Cliff’s stay in both Hospitals.
Cliff will be missed dearly by his Family and Friends.
To celebrate Cliff’s life a visitation will be held at J.W.Hart Funeral Home, 113 Lock St E., Dunnville on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 6-8 pm. Funeral Service in the chapel on Thursday June 4 th at 1 p.m. followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke foundation OR the Canadian Cancer Society.
