Estella Sharon Ann Boan (nee Sammon)
Peacefully passed away at her residence in Dunnville, Ontario on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the age of 80 years. Sharon Boan, beloved wife of Bob Boan for 57 years and loving mother of Lisa Dunham (Mike) and Dan Boan. Proud grandmother to Stephanie, Ash, Victoria (Justin), Caitlin, Jessica and Lauren. Beloved sister of Janice Battle (late George), Rick Sammon (Judy), Bonnie Summerfield (Jim) and Terry Sammon (Sharon), and sisters-in-law Zaida Wilson (Ray) and Pat Foley (Marty). Predeceased by her parents Wallace and Estella Sammon. Sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Sharon volunteered in the community in various roles. Most notably as the Ladies’ Golf Chairman at the Dunnville Golf & Country Club, a member of the Arena Building Committee, and a member of the Dunnville Skating Club for over 40 years. Sharon is recognized on the Arena Hall of Fame for her dedication and contributions to her community.
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Dunnville Community Lifespan Centre, 275 Ramsey Drive, Dunnville, on Monday, April 3, 2023. Friends and family are welcome to attend any time between 3:00 and 6:00 pm.
