Biggley, Linda Marie Therese (nee Pilon) It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Best Friend and Nana on Thursday April 2, 2020.
Beloved partner and best friend to Gord Powell her “better half” (Lacy and Leiah Powell). Cherished mother to Nicole Bannister (Mike), Celine Biggley and Brandon Biggley (Sadie). Loving daughter of Vic and Gisele Pilon. Linda will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Mona Rouillard and Jacques Pilon (Dina). Predeceased by her brother Daniel Pilon and sister Sylvie Zimba. Cherished Nana to Landen and Dylan. Linda will be sadly missed by Gord’s family, parents Vic and Marie Powell, his siblings Brian (Sue) and Vicky (Chris) and many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Walker Family Cancer Centre and Juravinski Cancer Centre. Special thank you to Dr. Blake.
A private family gathering was held at JW Hart Funeral Home followed by cremation. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to Walker Family Cancer Centre or Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com

Please accept my condolences for the loss of such a women. From our days at St. Mike’s to Bicks Pickles, Linda never changed. She was always able to say the right thing that made people laugh. No matter how bad the days in that office got, Linda always gave me something to laugh about. The most undervalued employee they ever had. She did her job well and was able to run every machine in the plant, but I respected her most for distancing herself from the daily complaints and gossip. She treated everyone the same and was a good friend to many of her fellow employees.
RIP Linda, you are going to be remembered by many.

J’aimerais vous offrir mes plus sincères condoléances suite au décès de Linda après une courageuse bataille contre la maladie, ce fut un plaisir pour moi d’avoir eu la chance de côtoyer Linda à il y a quelque été pour passer quelques jours en sa compagnie au chalet de ses beaux-parents. Mes pensées vont directement à son conjoint Gord qu’elle aimait tant, ses enfants Céline et Brandon donc elle était si fière, son frère Jacques sa sœur Mona avec qui elle avait une si belle complicité sans oublier ses parents Vic et Gisèle ses nièces Melissa et Victoria ainsi que toute la famille éprouvée et ses amis.
Je garderai un excellent souvenir de Linda grâce au moment passer avec elle lors de notre visite il y a quelque été, notamment les blagues sur les cornichons. Voici comment je décrirais Linda en quelques mot. Je garderai en mémoire son sourire contagieux sa bonne humeur rayonnante de sa joie de vivre inoubliable et son grand amour pour tous ceux et celles qui l’ont côtoyé, pour ma part je remercie la vie de l’avoir mis sur mon chemin et ce fut un plaisir pour moi d’avoir pu partager quelques moments avec elle. Son départ nous chagrine tous beaucoup mais j’ai la certitude qu’elle continuera à veiller sur tout ceux qu’elle chérissait tant.
En terminant vous comprendrez qu’en temps normal nous nous serions déplacés afin de partager ces moments difficiles avec vous, vous comprendrez qu’en raison de cette pandémie qui persiste dans le monde, les déplacements sont d’autant plus complexes en raison de cette crise. C’est pourquoi j’ai pensé vous offrir ce petit mot en espérant que celui-ci pourra apaiser votre douleur en cette période difficile. Soyez assurés que lorsque qu’il nous sera possible nous iront vous voir. D’ici là soyez assurés que nous sommes de tout cœur avec vous durant cette difficile épreuve.

Linda and I met I kindergarten..even at the age of 5 she was such a happy, funny, smiling person. After school I would love the days when I could ride the school bus to her parents home, which was also the variety store in Stromness.
Sometimes years would pass before we saw each other again but we could easily catch right up with our family news. The last time we chatted she was facing her health challenges and doing so with laughter and a smile. I’ll never forget Linda.

This is so sad. Linda was so full of life and had such a great sense of humour. Lately, we only caught up with her at the Mudcat Festival beer gardens. She had been in our lives since school.
