Joanne Elizabeth Beeston (Pogson)
Born November 19, 1952 – Passed October 13, 2025
Joanne Elizabeth Beeston (Pogson) passed away peacefully at home in Dunnville, Ontario, on October 13, 2025, at age 72. Born in Niagara Falls, New York, she lived a life defined by devotion to family, quiet strength, and compassion for others.
Joanne was the beloved wife of the late Stephen Douglas Beeston (July 7, 1948 – March 19, 2024). Married since the age of nineteen, Joanne and Stephen shared more than five decades as true soulmates, partners, and friends.
Before dedicating herself to her family, Joanne worked as a phlebotomist at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where her calm nature and gentle care were appreciated by patients and colleagues alike. Known for her legendary brownies and chocolate cake, she built family traditions that will continue to be honored in her memory.
She is survived by her four children: Ryan Beeston (Eva Horn) of Niagara Falls, NY; Aaron Beeston of Lewiston, NY; Sean Beeston (Amy Belcamino) of Hamilton, ON; and Meghan Rynberk (Jason Rynberk) of St. Catharines, ON. She was the proud grandmother of Shelby Beeston, Benjamin Beeston, Cameron Rynberk and Jacob Rynberk, each of whom brought her deep joy and years of laughter.
Joanne will be fondly remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love of family. A private family service will be held with a public celebration of life for her and Steve at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Walker Family Cancer Center in Joanne’s memory.

My deepest condolences to Joanne’s family. I am a childhood friend, (Jane Fulford) who grew up with the Pogson family at our Lake Erie properties. I know how difficult it must have been for her since Steve passed away. I have so many happy memories of Joanne as a young child and new mother. I hope that she is at peace now and reunited with all those who have passed before her and who loved her in this life.
My sincere condolences to the family. She will be surely missed.
Joanne was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She will be missed by so many. My deepest condolences.
