BARTLETT, Ula Faye (nee Swayze).
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ula at Grandview lodge on Wednesday March 20 2024 at the age of 88.
Ula will be reunited with her late husband, David, as well as other family and friends who have passed. Lovingly remembered by sons Paul (Tammie), Peter (Barb) and daughter Carol (Mark). Proud and loving Grandma to six grandchildren Todd (Brianna), Katelyn, Holly (Patrick), Nicole (Neil), Ashley (Shawn) ,Kevin (Tiffany) and seven great-grandchildren Jake, Kendra, Cameron, Isaac, Jacob, Corbin and Kase. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Ula grew up in south Cayuga with her parents and her five siblings Myra (Bob), Una (John) Karen (Ross) Jeff (Susan) and Lynne (Terry).
Ula was married to David on December 17, 1955 and moved to the family dairy farm in Canboro. Here they raised their three children. Ula kept very busy with the farm but managed to still be very involved with 4-H, United Church, UCW, Sunday School and Women’s Institute. She also enjoyed photography in her spare time and loved to travel. She was well known in the community with her various clubs and after selling the farm she worked for a very busy doctor’s practice which she thoroughly enjoyed. Even after retirement she would often have patients still saying hi. She still enjoyed her lunches with her friends and family and rarely missed a chance to participate in activities and outings at Grandview Lodge. The wonderful staff was always amazed at her independence and how she still managed to try and keep everything in order.
To celebrate Ula’s life, a visitation will be held at JW Hart Funeral Home 113 Lock St E Dunnville on Sunday, March 24th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Funeral and committal services will be held in the Chapel on Monday March 25 2024 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation, Dunnville Grace United Church or Grandview Lodge Residents Council. I knew the Bartlett family well. We went to church together in Canboro. Ula was my 4H leader. I am very honoured to have known Ula and her family. RIP Ula.

So sorry to hear Ula’s passing. She was a lovely lady whether I saw her at church or at work she always had a smile. Her family are in my thoughts and prayers.
We knew Ula when she worked for our doctor. She was well liked and always had a kind word. To Carol and all the family, our condolences.

It was a pleasure to know Ula, and work along side her at church functions, and hear all her stories about family, and the people from other countries that they took in. She was always there to help and share her wisdom. She will be missed.

We remember Dave and Ula living next to us on the farm. Anytime we needed help they were there for us. When we went on holidays Ula would answer the phone for us.
We used to watch her chase Paul and Peter around the house trying to catch them 😊
Dinners, card games, dances and parties with my mom and dad and their gang. Always involved with WI, fire dept, church and other community events.
