Austin, Cleveland Judson. Peacefully, at home with his loving wife by his side Tuesday April 11, 2023 in his 86th year.
Cleveland “Cleve” Austin beloved husband to Susanne (nee Johnstone) for over 57 years. Cleveland was the fifth of 14 children born to Cleveland and Medora Austin. Lovingly remembered by his siblings Ken, Robert, Mary, Faye, Violet and predeceased by siblings Jack Merle, Ross, Muriel, Murray, Dorothy, Myrtle, and Glenn. Sadly missed by his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Ian and Suzanne Johnstone, Diane and John Henderson, and Joanne and Randy Thompson. Uncle Cleveland will be missed and fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Retired from IMC Port Maitland, Cleve enjoyed classic cars, woodworking, travel and his loyal canine companion Chloe.
Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life on Saturday April 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. David’s Anglican Church (Livestream available at stdavidswelland.org ), 369 Thorold Road Welland with reception to follow in the church hall. Memorial donations to Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation ( dhhf.ca ) , Alzheimer Society ( alzheimer.ca ) or Welland SPCA ( niagaraspca.com ) would be appreciated by the family.
