Armstrong, Paula Irene.
It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Paula Irene Armstrong (Thompson) on January 25th, 2023 peacefully in her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on January 24th 1969 to loving parents Wendy and Carl Thompson, Paula was one of five children. Predeceased by her eldest brother Paul, Paula leaves behind siblings Michael (Shirley), Samantha (Grant), and Jennifer (Andrew).
Paula will be deeply missed by her beloved husband Steve of 25 years and was the proud mother to Sam (Bella), Taelor (Drew), Keegan, and Jack. Paula’s greatest gift to her children was her unconditional love and support. She was so proud of the adults they had become, and the families they were beginning to create. Paula recently became a first-time grandmother last year to baby Grayson, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Paula will be missed immensely by many of her dear friends and will be fondly remembered by her former colleagues at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hamilton, where she worked as an Operating room nurse for over 20 years. She was a born caregiver and took much pride in her work to help others.
In keeping with Paula’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday May 13, 2023 at the Fisherville Lions Hall from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

I’m am so sorry for your loss. I met Paula when I worked with her at the Surgery Centre. You immediately liked her and could be assured that Paula would give that extra TLC to your patients in the OR. She always spoke passionately about her family. Will miss her beautiful smile.
