Horace Peter Lizotte
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father, Horace (Peter) Lizotte, on February 20, 2026, in his 94th year. Born in Grand Falls New Brunswick, Peter moved to Ontario at age 18. He shared a remarkable 68 year marriage with his beloved Ann (nee Soltesz) who predeceased him by two years. He is lovingly remembered by son Randy (Janice) and daughter Pat (Don). He will be missed by his grandchildren Brandan (Tarryn) and their three children, Kyle (Lauren) and son, Brent, Aaron (Jess) and Erin (Mike) and Ryan (Kathryn) and their two children. Peter was predeceased by sisters Murielle, Claire and brother’s Guy, John and Maurice. Survived by his sisters Joanne and Odette and their families. His brother Claude and wife Susan were his lifeline when he moved to Aberdeen Gardens in December 2023, always ready to stock his fridge and take him shopping or to lunch. He will also be missed by his sister-in-laws Helen (Oiva) and Susane and friend Larry.
Peter will be remembered for his welcoming laugh and talents for repairing machines. He owned Wellington auto body for many years working along side his buddy Gino for most of them. He owned a small motors business in Northern Ontario in his later years and was always ready to help the locals with their snow machines or lawnmowers.
Sincere thanks to the staff at Aberdeen Gardens in Hamilton as well as the staff at St. Joseph’s hospital for their care and compassion.
