Jay Michael Holdsworth July 10, 1957 ~ November 7, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jay Holdsworth.
Jay is survived by: Michael (Brooke), Jenny and their mother Rosslyn, as well as Thomas and Cassandra (Richard) (and their predeceased mother Trish); Grandchildren, Gavin, Raynor-John, Anthony, Santiago, Dawson and Dorian. He is also survived by his brother Roy (Debbie) and nieces and nephew (Emily, Janine & Reilly).
Born and raised in New Toronto (Etobicoke), he was the son of the late George and Ruth Holdsworth. Jay always held his hometown of New Toronto in
his heart. However,he found his “place”in Dunnville, Ontario, where he was very proud to have celebrated his 5th year anniversary of being a “Dunny”.
He will be missed by his fellow Dunny golf buddies and classic car enthusiasts. Jay was a dedicated employee of Glaxo Pharmaceuticals for over 35 years, where he developed lifelong friends. He was a proud long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion in both Etobicoke and Dunnville. Many wonderful memories were made at Ron’s Campsite in Clifford where the family participated in fishing,swimming,canoeing, campfires and a couple of horseshoe tournaments!
There will be a Celebration of Life, held Sunday Nov 16/25 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at New Amsterdam Pub 223 Queen Street in Dunnville

A second Celebration of Life will be held Friday Nov 21/25 2:00–4:00pm Long Branch Social House 3595 Lakeshore Blvd West, Long Branch (Etobicoke).
A private family burial will take place at St. Philips’ Cemetery on Friday Nov 21, 2025, prior to the Celebration of Life

Jay was one of the good guys. From the days on the Queensway to the move to Mississauga road, we shared many memories. Our times at the breakfast table will always stay with me.
