GRANT, Mary Lucille “Mary”
February 24, 1951 – December 14, 2024
Mary Grant, reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Rick, and adored son, Jeff. Cherished mother to Heather (Owen) and very proud Grandma to Ella. Beloved sister to Larry (Linda) Hammond, Joan (late Ron) Atkinson, Stanley (Jenny) Hammond, Ralph (Deidre) Hammond, Irene (late Rod) Lockhart, late David (Belinda) Hammond, Jim Hammond. Sister-in-law to Dale (Jim) Ellerby and Marlene (Bill) Millar. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. Memorial donations to the Highway Chapel in Dunnville would be appreciated by the family.
Family will receive visitors at JW Hart Funeral Home, 113 Lock St East Dunnville on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday December 18, 2024 at 11:00 am in the funeral home Chapel. Burial service to follow at Port Maitland Cemetery. Running into Mary made any town trip more exciting. She was a kind, caring woman who offfered much to many. We first met when I taught Jeff years ago. Many years later she still would invite me for a coffee when we met. Mary can rest now.

We were so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. Mary was our ‘around the corner’ neighbour for many years. The little dog we had over 20 years ago used to love to escape and run to see Mary. And Mary would let her in then call us to let us know! Such good memories. May she rest in peace

We were so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. She fought bravely and faced many losses throughout her illness. Seeing her in the grocery store one day, she brought out a photo of her granddaughter, Ella. We commented on her beautiful blue “Hammond” eyes. She was so proud. Mary will always be a part of life and memories in Port Maitland. Sincere heartfelt condolences to the family, Joanne and David.
