Victorien Pilon August 4, 1932 – September 17, 2024
After a life well lived – It is with heavy hearts; we announce the passing of Victorien Pilon on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024. Peacefully surrounded by his family in Welland, Ontario.
Vic will be forever cherished by Gizele his wife of 69 years , his son Jacques Pilon (Dina) and daughter Mona Rouillard. Survived by his sister Rejeanne, many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Vic has been reunited in Heaven with his parents, his siblings and his three children; Daniel Pilon, Linda Biggley and Sylvie Zimba.
Vic was the youngest boy of 13 children, born and raised in Rouyn Noranda, Quebec. Packing up and starting a new life in the small town of Stromness with his wife and children, then returning to his roots in the North in 2000. From working in the Gold and Diamond Mines, being a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician, to building and operating his own Variety Store in Stromness. Vic was a very skilled and respected Millwright throughout his entire career and well into retirement. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do or fix. And there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t buy, fix and sell. This brought him so much joy! To know Vic, was to Love him. His sarcastic humour, and his larger-than-life personality shone everywhere he went and impacted so many along the way. Ending every conversation with a hand shake, a wink and his golden smile. Truly one of a kind, he will be missed by all who were lucky enough to spend time in his presence.
In keeping with Vic’s wishes, cremation and private burial have taken place. A Celebration of Life to honour him will commence at a later date. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com

Sorry for loss. Vic was a very special man, he always made you laugh, he is up there riding around on his scooter. I am sure he will be greatly missed.
