George Douglas Shurr. 1935 – 2024
In loving memory of our father George Douglas Shurr who passed away on Monday January 22 2024.
Doug Shurr predeceased by his loving wife Jean Estelle and son Jeffery Ivan. Loving father to Ralph and Joyce, Ken and Gidget. Grandfather to Jason/Ashley, Sarah/Albert, Shane, Aaron/Elle, Heather and Nicholas. Great grandfather to Vera, Vincent, Julius, Annie and Charles. Survived by his brother Larry Shurr (Lorene). Predeceased by his parents Ivan and Hilda Shurr.
Dougie was a long haul trucker who finished his career at Dofasco. He enjoyed golfing, trips to Florida and his Grand National. Special thanks to the staff at Anson Place for their kindness and care given to dad during his stay.In lieu of flowers donations in dads name can be made on his behalf to the Special Olympics or the charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends at JW Hart Funeral Home, Dunnville on Monday January 29, 2024 from 12 noon to service time at 2:00pm followed by interment at Sweets Corners Christian Church Cemetery. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com


Thinking of all of Doug’s family at this time Doug was character and we will miss our chats with Doug and Ken. He lived a good life and he is now reunited with Jean and Jeff❤️
