Norma Jean Allison graduated to heaven Wednesday, February 16, 2022. While we are sad that she isn’t with us anymore, we are encouraged with thoughts of being reunited with her again one day.
A single Mom, she raised three kids while maintaining God as her center. Norma Jean managed her life, motherhood and career with amazing commitment, ensuring her kids, Stephen (wife Pamela), Lindsay (wife Bonnie) and Angela (husband Craig) were raised with Godly values and church attendance throughout their young lives; she taught her kids to keep God first. Her example of loyalty and honour lives on and we are immensely thankful for the memories we have.
Norma Jean was a career nurse that happily spent her days caring for others. She loved nature, reading (especially her Bible), horses and being near water. Born in Sudbury, her family moved to New Brunswick along with her sister, Shirley Quinlan (husband Winston) at a young age; she was a country girl at heart. Her other two siblings, Dorothy Swain (husband Jim) and George Hamilton (wife Susan), were born years later and looked up to their big sisters.
Norma Jean’s parents, Marshall and Kathleen Hamilton were her greatest heroes; amazing parents who she missed so dearly since their passing. As a family, we want to say thank you to all the staff and nurses at Grandview Lodge in Dunnville for your amazing care for Norma Jean – she received the kind of care that she had provided to others for so many years – we are grateful. One of Norma Jeans favorite scriptures was Psalm 18:29, “Through my God, I will run through a troop and leap over a wall.”
For those that wish to attend, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 1241 Broad Street East, Dunnville at 1:00pm, Saturday, February 19. For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed at https://youtu.be/cry9z3zjPIY

So sorry to hear Angela and family…our deepest condolences. I’m sure the short time she was in Grandview she was well looked after as my Mom was for the years there. Hugs to all!🤗
Was saddened to hear about Norma Jean. We know she is now rejoicing with Jesus, her mom and dad. Her gentle spirit, smile and loving soul will be missed by all who knew her, especially her family whom she loved dearly .Be comforted in the fact that” absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” All of the family will be in our prayers and thoughts. “Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Sorry to hear of Norma Jean’s passing. We have been a friend of Norma Jean for many years and our conversations with her would, without exception, reflect her love for her family and the Lord. May you find comfort in the fact that while she is absent in the body she is now present with the Lord. Rest assured that our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
