Mark Andrew Robertson passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 15th 2023 at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville at the age of 90.

Mark was born in Glasgow Scotland to the late George and Sarah Robertson. Mark is survived by his sister Dorothy (Michele +). Predeceased by brothers George (Cathy) and Ernie (Edith), sisters Hilda (John), Marjorie (Jimmy), Sandra (Clarence). He was a kind and loving partner to Joyce Fleet. Loving father to Mark, Ken (Jen), Pete (Melanie), and Corrie (Brett). Proud Grandpa of Scott (Jenny), Bronson, Brianna, Katie, Brad, Monica (Dale), Alexis, Hunter, Trent and great grandchildren Maverick, Kohen, Lakyn, Jesse and his faithful dog Q-Tip. Mark was adored and loved by his nieces and nephews.

Mark proudly served two terms in the Royal Air Force before becoming a firefighter in Glasgow along side his brother Ernie. At the age of 24, Mark arrived on the steamship Saxonia to Canada on September 27, 1956 and went on to become a welder at Lundy’s Steel in Dunnville. Mark was a dedicated hardworking and loyal man. In his spare time, he loved being outdoors, spending time with his friends and family on the golf course. Mark was a long time member at the Dunnville Golf course for 50 plus years, winning many tournaments. Mark passed down his gift for golf to his three sons and loved to play a round of golf with them. Mark had many life time friends who he enjoyed and treasured. Mark lead by example by being a gentleman and kind, this is exactly how he choose to live his life.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday January 20, 2023 in the upper hall of the Royal Canadian Legion, 305 Queen Street Dunnville from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. The family asks that any donations made in Mark’s honor go towards Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation ( dhhf.ca ) or to a charity of your choice. Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com
