Detenshen, John Michael

Passed away peacefully at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital on December 28, 2018 in his 94th year. Dear husband of Marjorie.  Loving father of David (Margaret deceased) and Wendy Waines (Bob). Loving grandfather of Dallas Waines, Amanda Waines-Pablo (Alex), Jared Detenshen, Sara Tady (Shawn) and Jessica Tenove ((Jeffrey). Great grandfather of Oliver Tenove.  Predeceased by his parents Michael and Eugenia.  Dear sister-in-law of Joyce Major and her children, Paul Spring (Andrea), Bradley Spring (Michelle) and Jeanette McAusland (Colin). John and Marjorie were the proud owners of Johnny’s Drive-In (Long Dawg) in Port Colborne for 30 years until their retirement in 1977 to their country home in Dunnville.  As per John’s wishes there will be no visitation or public service.  If desired, donations to the Salvation Army in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.  Online condolences jwhartfuneralhome.com
